Announcing a New SOG Program: The NC Child and Adolescent Health Law Conference

This summer, the UNC School of Government will be offering a new program: the NC Child and Adolescent Health Law Conference! This one-day conference will be held on August 8, 2024 and is an opportunity for a diversity of professionals to network and learn about key areas of child and adolescent health law.
What: The conference focuses on the law governing the delivery of health services to children and adolescents as well as adjacent legal topics that impact the health and well-being of young people. This year’s inaugural conference will include concurrent sessions with two tracks (child health and adolescent health) that attendees can select based on their own areas of work and interest.
Who: The NC Child and Adolescent Health Law Conference is geared towards employees of North Carolina’s state and local public health agencies but is also open to other health care providers, policymakers, public officials, students, and attorneys with an interest in child and adolescent health law. Sessions will be taught by experts in various areas of child and adolescent health law and related topics, including faculty at the UNC School of Government and staff at the NCDHHS, Division of Public Health. When: Thursday, August 8, 2024 from 8:30 am – 5:00 pm
Where: UNC School of Government, 400 South Road, Chapel Hill, NC (in-person only)
Other important details: The registration fee for this conference is $130 and includes light breakfast, lunch, and on-site parking. Up to 6.5 hours of CLE credit will be available (pending approval by the NC State Bar). Certificates and other documentation of conference attendance can be made available to non-attorney attendees seeking to obtain CEUs on their own.
