As NC governments prepare for telework, the Center for Public Technology at the School of Government has put together a resource page to assist you with some of the most common technical questions related to telework and/or remote access. The page includes details on telework best practices related to securing your organization’s data and includes links to sample local and state government telework policies; guidance on how to properly sanitize computers, keyboards, mice, and other technology devices; and guidance on cybersecurity threats associated with COVID-19, specifically maps with embedded malware that are creating compromises. This resource page will be updated regularly based on client requests for policies, procedures, and assistance. If you have questions about the technical aspects of telework, please contact faculty member Shannon Tufts (tufts@sog.unc.edu; 919.962.5438).
